National Barbecue Month - May 13, 2014
The sun is shining! Spokane’s daily forecast is predicting at least 70’s for every day this week and May is National Barbecue Month! Our evenings are becoming the perfect barbecue weather! Here are three different “Did You Know’s,” about barbecuing!
Did you know that the majority of adults (58%) agree that cooking outside is more fun and relaxing than dining out? Stay home, enjoy the fresh air, and avoid all the hassles of traveling, dressing up, and the crowds when eating out.
Did you know that over seventy percent of Americans enjoy cooking outdoors because it’s more fun and it’s easier to promote healthier lifestyle habits? This means spending more time outside verses sitting on the couch and being cooped up in the house to eating healthier and making smarter food choices.
Did you know that a survey was done asking cooks what their go-to tool was? The results are in and the most popular tool is the tong with the spatula and brush coming in at a near second. The third most popular is the rubs and marinades used to spice up the flavor!
